I have Medicaid and received a letter stating my eligibility was being redetermined. What does this mean?


The law requires Medicaid to determine if those enrolled in Medicaid still qualify at least every 12 months. Your redetermination or renewal date is one year from the date you qualified for Medicaid. Near the date your eligibility will be redetermined, you will receive a letter asking you if anything has changed (such as your address, family size or income). If you have questions about your redetermination date please contact your local county human services office or call the Medicaid Customer Contact Center at 1-800-221-3943 / TDD 1-800-659-2656. Hours of operation: Monday – Friday 7:30am – 5:15pm (closed state holidays).
