- How do I report a change to my demographic information (i.e. residential address), tobacco status, or plan information?
You can report changes to your enrollment online, in-person with a certified Connect for Health Colorado Broker or Health Coverage Guide, or over-the-phone with a trained Service Representative. You can get in-person assistance by visiting the Connect For Health Colorado website.
- I cannot find my renewal notice. What do I do?
Connect for Health Colorado will send you a renewal notice by October 31. If you have not received your notice by October 31st, and you are working with a Broker, you can ask your Broker about your renewal options. If you would like your notice to be resent, please call our Connect for Health Colorado Customer Service Center at 855-PLANS-4-YOU (855-752-6749) TTY 855- 346-3432. You can also view your renewal options online beginning November 15th in your User Account.
- If I miss the December 15th deadline to make a change, can I make changes later in the year?
If you did not submit a change to your 2015 enrollment by December 15th, you generally can’t make changes to your enrollment for 2015 until the next Open Enrollment period for coverage the following year. You may make changes to your enrollment outside Open Enrollment only if you qualify for a special enrollment period due to a qualifying life event such as marriage, birth or adoption of a child, or loss of other health coverage. If you need to report a change to your eligibility to the federal tax credit, you can report that at any time.
- What do you mean by renewal?
All 2014 Connect for Health Colorado marketplace health and dental plans will come up for renewal in 2015. Open Enrollment for 2015 insurance coverage through Connect for Health Colorado begins November 15, 2014. If you are enrolled in a 2014 Connect for Health Colorado marketplace plan, your plan year ends December 31, 2014. To continue insurance coverage in 2015, you can renew your current plan or choose a new plan during the 2015 Open Enrollment period.
In some cases, your current Connect for Health Colorado marketplace plan will not be offered in 2015. If that is the case, we will send you a notice asking you to shop and enroll in a new plan beginning November 15. It is important that you select your new 2015 plan by December 15 to receive January 1 coverage.
- What if my plan is being changed or cancelled?
Your insurance company will send you information by October 1 about updated benefits and any other changes to your current coverage if your plan is available to you next year. If you have questions regarding changes to your plan, you should contact your insurance company directly.

- What is auto-renewal?
An automatic renewal (auto-renewal) allows the Connect for Health Colorado marketplace to automatically enroll you in your current health or dental plan if you do not report any changes to us by December 15. Connect for Health Colorado will send you a notice at the end of October if you are eligible for auto-renewal. This means you do not need to do anything if you are happy with the information Connect for Health Colorado provide and you have no changes to report. If you receive this notice, you are not required to take any action to keep your plan.
- What is guaranteed renewal?
Guaranteed renewal is a federal requirement under the Affordable Care Act that requires your health insurance carrier to offer to renew your Affordable Care Act compliant policy as long as you continue to pay premiums and as long as the policy is being offered in the upcoming plan year. All Connect for Health Colorado plans are Affordable Care Act compliant. Guaranteed renewal does not limit how much you can be charged if you renew your coverage.
- When will customers be notified of their renewal options?
Connect for Health Colorado will notify customers about their renewal options via email or paper letter at the end of October.
